Eden Hazard open to Chelsea exit?

06 October 2018 - 18:57

Belgium international Eden Hazard has said that he is content with Chelsea for the moment but things could change quickly based on the progress of the club.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Hazard was heavily tipped to join Real Madrid during the summer transfer window but a deal never materialised with the European champions being reluctant to match the Blues £200m valuation.

The attacker has since been in sublime form with seven goals scored across all competitions but he has refused out a potential move away from Stamford Bridge in the near future.

Speaking to SPORTBible, he said: "At the moment I'm good but in two months it can be different. I just keep practicing on the pitch, training and we will see what happens. If I score I'm good, if I don't score and I'm playing good, for me it's perfect. I just need to keep winning games."

Chelsea have struggled in the forward department this term with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud contributing just two goals between themselves and this record may need to improve in the near future, if the Blues are to challenge for the Premier League crown.

The Blues make the trip to St Mary's for Sunday's league meeting against Southampton and the opposition has been a particular favourite for Giroud, who will be eager to score his first club goal of the campaign.
