Inter Milan are reportedly in the race to sign Luka Modric from Real Madrid in the upcoming January transfer window. Bankrolled by wealthy investors, Inter are currently looking to revamp their squad and Modric is seen as their top transfer target.
Inter Milan already have Modric's fellow countryman Ivan Perisic on the books and are looking to add another Croatian international in the Real Madrid midfielder.

Inter Milan have been in the race to sign several top players and have been in for Modric for many years but were unable to match Real Madrid's then 60 million euro asking price for the Croatian.
Modric, who has 18 months remaining on his Real Madrid contract, is said to want one more major transfer move before calling time on his professional football career. He is also hinted that he would like to make a move back to the Premier League, where he had previously played with Tottenham.
