Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes the Gunners have the chance to contest for the Premier League title under the guidance of manager Unai Emery.
The north Londoners made the worst possible start under the Spaniard after beginning the season with back-to-back league defeats but an unbeaten run thereafter sees them just four points behind table-toppers Manchester City.
Amidst this, Emery has regularly dismissed the club's title ambitions but Wenger feels that could be a realistic aim with the Gunners having rectified their away woes from the previous campaign.
"Why not? When you look at last season at home we won 15, drew two and lost two - it's away we were not good enough," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"But overall the quality's there. They have a chance - but at the moment we have some other teams who look very strong as well. When Arsenal win I am happy."
Arsenal had recently won 11 straight matches under Emery but that run was ended over the weekend where Crystal Palace secured a point in a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park.
The Capital outfit are scheduled to host Liverpool in their next league meeting and the game should be a tricky one for them owing to their poor head-to-head record of late.
Arsenal have failed to win any of their previous six league meetings versus Liverpool with three draws and three defeats in the process. The last game at the Emirates Stadium finished in a high-scoring 3-3 draw.
