Chelsea have confirmed that French midfielder N'Golo Kante has signed a new long-term deal to keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.
The France international has been one of the Blues' best performers over the past 30 months and he has now penned a contract extension to sway away potential interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain.
"I'm happy to extend my time with Chelsea, it has been two beautiful years and I wish for more to come. Since I came, I completely improved as a player, challenged myself and got some awards I never thought about," he told the club's official website.
Kante initially made his switch to the Premier League with Leicester City in the summer of 2015 and he thereafter played a key role in the centre of the park as they went on to secure a historic English crown.
Thereafter, the Frenchman was prised away by the Blues for a reported fee of around £30m and he has since continued winning silverware with another Premier League title and the FA Cup to boost.
Kante has been ever-present for Maurizio Sarri in the Premier League this term and he is widely expected to start when the Blues face Tottenham Hotspur on the road tomorrow.
