Ramsey presently has just seven months remaining on his existing Gunners deal and a recent report from Sky Sports has indicated that the club have opted against renewing his deal.

Amidst this, the Gunners have been linked with a number of high-profile players to replace him but according to TMW, Rabiot has now become the prime target on their wishlist.

Just like Ramsey, Rabiot's contract expires at the end of the season and he has yet to give the green light towards a new long-term contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona and Juventus have also been linked with the Frenchman over the past 18 months but recent reports indicate that the latter's approach may depend on their negotiations with Ramsey at the turn of the year.

Ramsey has already stressed that he has no ambition of leaving the Gunners in the next transfer window but foreign clubs still have the advantage of agreeing a pre-contract with him.
