Serie A holders Juventus have reportedly proposed to offer Sami Khedira in a straight-swap deal to sign midfielder Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal this month.
Ramsey currently has just six months remaining on his existing deal with the Gunners and he is free to discuss a pre-contract with an overseas club at the moment.
With this in mind, he has been linked with some of Europe's elite clubs but according to Calciomercato, the Bianconeri are planning to jump ahead of the race by pursuing a mid-season deal.
However, they are not prepared to negotiate a cash move and they are rather willing to offer Khedira in a potential swap agreement for the Wales international.
Likewise Ramsey, Khedira has struggled for regular starts with just seven with the Bianconeri this term and the Gunners may have their objection to the move, given the German's own fitness concerns.
Ramsey is expected to feature for the Gunners on Saturday evening where they make the trip to Blackpool for the FA Cup third round tie. The Welshman comes into the game after scoring in the 4-1 league win over Fulham.
