Arsenal leading the race to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka?

24 February 2019 - 00:13

Arsenal are reportedly leading the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester City in the race to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace in the summer.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for the Eagles during the 2018/19 season and his impressive form has caught the attention of high-profile sides including Bayern Munich.

However, according to The Sun, the Gunners are understood to be leading the hunt to sign the promising right-back, who could cost in the region of &pound40m during the summer transfer window.

Hector Bellerin has been the regular choice on the right side of the Gunners defence but the Spaniard's recent injury setback could see him miss the beginning of next season.

Owing to this, the north London side seem keen on pursuing another right-sided defender, though Wan-Bissaka's valuation could prove steep for them in the forthcoming transfer window.

It has previously been reported that Unai Emery could be handed a restricted transfer budget of just &pound45m for the summer and the Spaniard may have to offload a few existing players to garner additional funds.
