Wigan boss wont appeal

Wigan boss won't appeal

19 March 2008 - 22:11

Wigan boss Steve Bruce has decided appealing against the red card and three match suspension that Jason Koumas received after his sending off for a rash challange during the match against Bolton at the weekend.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • "We've looked at it and we're not appealing," Bruce told the Wigan Observer.

"We decided against it on the grounds of what happened Jeremie Aliadiere - when he was sent off at Liverpool and then had his ban extended.

"It was a harsh decision. I don't think Jason has a bad tackle in him, and I feel for the lad because he's been terrific.

"I couldn't have left him out of our last three games, but we're not going

    down the line of appealing."
