Norwich City have won the race to sign 24-year-old Dutch player Maceo Rigters on loan from Premiership side Blackburn Rovers.

Roeder told the club's official website: "I am delighted that Mark Hughes has agreed to let us sign Maceo Rigters, a player who I first saw play for Holland in the Under-21s European Championships last summer where he was the leading scorer.



"I think that this is a good opportunity for him to come to us with seven games to go and show everybody what he's capable of doing - scoring goals - which have been lacking this season.



"It was also nice to know that we beat off strong interest from a number of prominent Championship clubs for his signature."
