Manchester United are reportedly plotting an approach to sign Joao Cancelo from Juventus when the current campaign comes to a close.
The Portuguese footballer joined the Bianconeri from Valencia last summer and he has since made 22 appearances while contributing one goal and five assists.
According to Tuttosport, the Red Devils are planning a move for a new right-back in the summer with Antonio Valencia likely to make way from the club, while Diogo Dalot has not sufficiently impressed to replace Ashley Young in the role.
Young has already been rewarded with a contract extension for next season but United are still expected to pursue a new recruit, who can replace the Englishman, who will be turning 34 before the start of next term.
United are currently fifth in the league standings but they are just one point behind Arsenal in the race for the final Champions League spot. They are scheduled to host Southampton at Old Trafford this weekend.
