Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said that the players may be suffering from a serious mental block after a 2-0 defeat to Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Blues were the dominant side during the first half of the encounter and they should have found the net, barring the woodwork and good shot-stopping from Jordan Pickford.
However, following the break, they dropped out with their performance and this saw the Toffees capitalise with goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Speaking after the game, Sarri indicated that he has no idea as to why the players switched off in the second half and it may probably have to do with a mental block.
I don't know why. It is impossible that the situation is a physical problem because if it is, you can go down gradually, not in one second. Probably it is a mental block," he said via BBC Sport.
With the result, Chelsea remain sixth in the Premier League table with 57 points, three behind arch-rivals Arsenal, who are currently holding the final Champions League spot.
