Arsenal have reportedly earmarked Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet as a potential successor to Aaron Ramsey, who is set to join Juventus on a Bosman in the summer.
The north London side are likely to pursue a new midfielder to replace the Welshman in their ranks and Corriere dello Sport claims that the club have already identified their prime target.
As per the Italian publication, the Capital outfit are aiming to raid Sampdoria for the second-straight season after securing the signature of Lucas Torreira last summer.
It is added that Praet has been identified as the option to strengthen the club's midfield department and they could prise him away for a relatively affordable sum of around £17m.
Praet, who was formerly in the ranks of Anderlecht, has made over 100 appearances for the Serie A side across all competitions since joining them three years ago.
In the current season, he has netted two goals and two assists for the side.
