Arsenal marksman Alexandre Lacazette has emerged as a surprise target for Barcelona as they seek to bolster their striking department ahead of next season.
The France international has enjoyed an impressive season with the north London side and he has already contributed 18 goals and nine assists across all competitions.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana have their sights on making a renewed approach to pursue the services of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
Should the move fail, however, they are said to have a contigency plan in place with Arsenal's Lacazette earmarked as a potential candidate to take up the centre-forward duties in the long-term.
Lacazette was recently named the Gunners' Player of the Year for the current campaign and his performances have helped the club stay within reach of the top four places.
In such a case, the north London side are unlikely to even consider the prospect of selling the marksman unless the Blaugrana come up with a significant and tempting transfer package.
