Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly instructed the club to make a move for Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic after being impressed with the marksman's progress at the Bundesliga outfit.
The Serbia international joined the German side from Benfica on a season-long loan last summer and he has managed to secure a permanent contract after standing out with 26 goals and nine assists for his side.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, the Blues have been monitoring the proceedings of the forward over the course of the season and Sarri has now given the green light for the Blues to make a transfer approach.
Nonetheless, the striker won't come on the cheap and Frankfurt are likely to demand a fee in excess of £55m to consider a potential sale during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea are presently under a two-window transfer ban ahead of the summer but they remain hopeful of at least freezing the embargo such that they can perform the necessary business ahead of next term.
