  • The playmaker was heavily tipped to join the European champions last summer but manager Maurizio Sarri is said to have convinced him to stay for another campaign.

According to The Sun, the 28-year-old is said to have reached a verbal agreement to leave the Blues at the end of the season and he is now eager for the club to fulfil the same with Los Blancos keen on acquiring his services.

Los Blancos are understood to have failed with an opening bid worth £65m for the attacker but they are widely expected to come up with a renewed offer close to the Blues' £100m asking price.

Hazard contributed with a couple of assists during the recent 3-0 triumph over Watford at home. The victory has ensured that the Blues have qualified for next season's Champions League through a top-four finish.
