Cardiff City winger Josh Murphy has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea ahead of this summer's transfer window.
Murphy has witnessed a relatively difficult season with the Bluebirds this term and he has managed just three goals and an assist over the course of the Premier League campaign.
Still, he is said to be rated highly by a number of top English sides and according to Football Insider, the Blues could make a shock swoop for the former Norwich City graduate.
The Blues are currently in a good position in terms of the options on either flank but there remain concerns over the futures of Eden Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi, whose contracts expire at the end of next season.
Meanwhile, the west London side are also in a position where they are keen to bolster their homegrown quota and Murphy could be available for a bargain price after the Bluebirds' relegation to the Championship.
