Arsenal boss Unai Emery has reportedly made contact with Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier in order to convince him to join the club this summer.
The north London side are expected to work on a tight budget after the failure to qualify the Champions League for the third season running but they are still being linked with high-profile players.
According to Paris United, Emery is keen on recruiting a new right-sided defender into the club's ranks and he has made a personal call to convince Meunier into making the switch.
Arsenal are likely to miss the services of Hector Bellerin through injury at the beginning of next season and Emery appears eager to strengthen the right-back position with an experienced recruit.
Aside from the right-back role, Meunier is also capable of featuring further up the field as a winger and that versatility seems to have impressed Emery, who has previously worked with him at Parc des Princes.
