Chelsea are reportedly prepared to extend the contract of Willian until the summer of 2021 thereby going against the policy of handing short-term deals to players aged above 30.
The Brazilian has been a regular for the Blues for the past six years but there have been concerns regarding his future with his current deal due to expire in 12 months' time.
However, according to The Mail, the Capital outfit are prepared to reward the winger with a fresh two-year deal, considering they are currently not permitted to make any signings due to a transfer ban.
Aside from Willian, the Blues are also in discussions over a new deal with Callum Hudson-Odoi and reports indicate that they are confident of extending the youngster's stay with a new five-year contract.
Hudson-Odoi is currently on the sidelines following an operation for a serious Achilles problem but he is likely to return to action during the early stages of the 2019/2020 Premier League campaign.
