Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly keen on pursuing two big-name signings before the club begin their pre-season duties.

  • The Red Devils are on the cusp of pursuing Daniel James from Swansea City this month, but Ole seems keen on making more signings before the pre-season tour begins.

According to The Times, the Red Devils boss is keen to have some of the transfer business sorted before pre-season and the club are eyeing at least two big-money signings.

United have been regularly linked with a move for Ajax's Matthijs de Ligt in the past few weeks but it appears that the Dutchman is likely to turn down the advances.

Still, the club are aiming to strengthen the backline with the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly and Thomas Meunier on their radar while midfielder Bruno Fernandes is another player, who has impressed the club's scouts.

Manchester United, who ended sixth in the Premier League last season, are due to start their pre-season tour with a friendly against A-League side Perth Glory on July 13.
