Ole Gunnar Solskjaer drops fresh update on Paul Pogba's future

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has defended midfielder Paul Pogba amid the recent speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The France international has been widely fancied to head to the Bernabeu this summer and reports have emerged that Los Blancos have already made contact with United representatives.

However, speaking in a press conference, Solskjaer has indicated that Pogba has not demanded an exit from the Red Devils and they have been no bids to secure his services.

"What I will say is Paul's never put himself out of the team. He has always wanted to play. Agents talk all the time and, as I said, we've not had any bids for any clubs. That's all I can say about this matter," he said.

Pogba is currently with the United team for their pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East, and he is likely to take some part during the opening friendly against Perth Glory on July 13.

United have made two signings in the form of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer, but Ole has acknowledged that there may be a couple more additions to the first-team squad.
