Arsenal are set to secure the signature of midfielder Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid after convincing the La Liga side over a season-long loan move.
The 22-year-old has been with the 13-time European champions for the past two seasons but he has not been able to command a regular role from the starting XI.
As such, the midfielder has been touted to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere and BBC Sport claims that the Gunners have won the race to sign him on a temporary basis for next season.
Meanwhile, the move is unlikely to include a buy option, although Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has indicated that he would be prepared to negotiate a permanent deal with the Gunners in 12 months' time.
Ceballos is currently on his vacation following his sublime exploits for Spain at the European Under-21 Championship in Italy. He contributed two goals and two assists en route to the country's title success.
