Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign AC Milan striker

27 July 2019 - 19:29

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly on the cusp of signing Patrick Cutrone from AC Milan after agreeing on a deal worth £16m with the Serie A outfit.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The west Midlands outfit have already boosted their forward ranks this summer with the permanent signing of Raul Jimenez from Benfica but they appear keen on bolstering the frontline further.

According to Sky Sports' Fabrizio Romano, a deal has been struck between Wolves and Rossoneri for Cutrone and the marksman is likely to seal his move to the Molineux in the forthcoming days.

"Patrick Cutrone to Wolverhampton, here we go! He's coming back to Europe to finalize the deal with Wolves. The agreement is ready to be completed with AC Milan," he tweeted.

Wolves managed to secure Europa League football for next season by virtue of the qualification spot attained from Manchester City winning the FA Cup crown.

They have already begun their European campaign with a 2-0 win over Crusaders FC in the first leg of their second qualifying round. The second leg is scheduled to be played on the road on August 1.
