Inter Milan end interest in Romelu Lukaku?

29 July 2019 - 18:18

Inter Milan may have ended their interest in signing Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku after switching their attention towards Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Nerazzurri have been in discussions with the Red Devils for Lukaku over the past few weeks but they are still far off from meeting the £80m asking price.

Amidst this, Juventus are understood to have leapfrogged them in the race to sign the Belgium international and BeIN SPORTS claims that they have turned their focus to their alternative target Cavani.

Cavani has become Les Parisiens' all-time goalscorer during his six seasons at Parc des Princes but it is suggested that the club may seek to replace him with a younger player before the transfer deadline.

The 32-year-old has been linked with a return to Napoli in the past but the Serie A side may not enter the race this summer, considering they are keen on pursuing a top-class winger instead.
