Serie A giants Napoli have identified former Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente as a potential candidate to strengthen their striking options.
The Spaniard was a regular for Spurs during the backend of the previous season amid Harry Kane's injury concerns but he still could not finalise a new contract with the club beyond June.
As such, the 34-year-old has been a free agent for more than a month but Sky Italy claims that he could be offered a return to the Serie A with Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli.
The Naples outfit are keen on landing a striker before the transfer window closes on August 18, but they have so far failed to convince Inter Milan towards a transfer deal for Mauro Icardi.
Should that continue to remain the case, Napoli may propose a one-year contract to Llorente, who has won three Italian league titles with Juventus between 2013 and 2015.
Llorente bagged eight goals from 35 appearances for Spurs last term.
