Juventus enter the race to sign Manchester United attacker

16 August 2019 - 18:13

Juventus have reportedly joined the likes of AS Roma and Inter Milan in the race to sign Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United this week.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Sanchez has endured a tough time with the Red Devils since his move from Arsenal in January 2018, and he has bagged a paltry five goals from 45 appearances.

As such, he has seemingly dropped down the pecking order for a starting role with the club and that seems to have triggered the speculation that he may leave Old Trafford in the near future.

According to The Mirror, the Bianconeri have joined the likes of Napoli, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Roma in the player's pursuit and they are hoping to lure him ahead of league competitors.

The same publication claims that Sanchez himself is keen on a return to the Serie A, where he made a name for himself with Udinese between 2006 and 2011.

Still, any move needs to be completed before the Italian transfer deadline on Sunday while United may have to pay off a portion of the player's £450,000-a-week salary for him to accept a wagecut elsewhere.
