Ivory Coast international striker Wilfried Bony is set to join Brighton on a free transfer this week, with the former Man City and Swansea City star set to return to England after a spell in the Middle East. Bony is expected to sign a 12 month deal with the South Coast club.
Bony is expected to link up with his former manager Graham Potter at Swansea City at new club Brighton, where manager Potter is still a huge fan of the Ivorian international.
Bony took part in the Africa Cup of Nations this summer and is still highly rated across Europe. Brighton are expected to beat Dutch duo Ajax and Feyenoord to the signing of Bony, whilst Italian trio Sampdoria, Genoa and Fiorentina are amongst those tracking the forward.
Florin Andone has left Brighton today and the club are now seeking a replacement striker as soon as possible.
Potter's side are struggling so far this season in the Premier League, with the club currently sitting in 16th place in the league table.
