Manchester United and Arsenal are both planning to lodge offers to sign defender Thomas Meunier from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Belgian's current deal with the French champions expires at the end of the season and it is thought that the right-back won't pen a new contract amid his lack of regular gametime.
Juventus are already said to be planning to offer him a pre-contract at the turn of the year but Fichajes.net claims that they could face competition from the Gunners and Red Devils.
Arsenal have lacked the presence of Hector Bellerin in the right-back position since January through a knee injury but the Spaniard is close to making a comeback.
Still, they seem keen on recruiting another quality option behind Bellerin, considering Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been inconsistent while Calum Chambers is regarded as more of a central defender under Emery.
Likewise, United have an effective right-back in the ranks in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka but Meunier could offer more of an attacking threat which the young Englishman does not seem to possess.Â
