Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that midfielder Paul Pogba is a doubt for the forthcoming league clash against Arsenal after suffering a fresh ankle concern.
The Frenchman just recovered from an ankle injury to feature in the League Cup third round win over Rochdale but he is said to have suffered a fresh swelling on the same ankle.
Speaking ahead of the Arsenal game, Solskjaer acknowledged that Pogba has suffered another injury and he can't assure the midfielder's comeback for the Gunners clash.
"The situation is he finished the game, which is fantastic but he got a knock to his ankle which is very swollen. It was better for him not to go there (to the dinner) with the team and he's in a race, I would guess, for Monday," he told Sky Sports.
Aside from Pogba, Anthony Martial (thigh) and Marcus Rashford (groin) are both in the treatment room and Solskjaer has provided no guarantees over their return ahead of the Monday night game.
Manchester United have struggled in the Premier League since the opening gameweek of the season and they have accumulated just five points from the past five league matches.
