Max Allegri sets deadline for Manchester United job?

09 October 2019 - 17:42

Massimiliano AllegriĀ has reportedly indicated that he is open to becoming Manchester United's next head coach but he won't wait for more than a couple of weeks for the decision.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • The Red Devils have made their worst start to a league campaign for 30 years and they are lying just two points ahead of the drop zone after the opening eight matches.

As a result, there are already question marks regarding the future of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and there are reports suggesting that the Norwegian could be sacked, if United suffer a heavy defeat to Liverpool this month.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Allegri is open to taking up the managerial position with the Red Devils but he is not prepared to wait for more than a few weeks for the appointment.

Aside from Allegri, RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann has also been linked with the United job but it is unclear whether the Bundesliga outfit will accept the 32-year-old's departure after signing him only in the summer.
