Arsenal want Albelda?

27 March 2008 - 22:00

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Valencia's out of favour Spanish midfielder David Albelda. The former Valencia captain has been left in the cold and Arsene Wenger is tempted to make a move f or the player.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Albelda is being lined up by the Gunners as a potential replacement for Mathieu Flamini should the Frenchman leave the club.

Valencia boss Ronald Koeman told Albelda back in January that he had no future at the club - but the Spanish midfielder decided to hang on at Valencia to see if he could win his place back.

As yet, Albelda has seen his first-team opportunities still very limited, and with the attentions of Arsenal the Spaniard will surely be set to make a move away from Valencia.
