According to various reports in Spain, Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos, currently on loan from Real Madrid is keen on signing a permanent deal at the Emirates Stadium rather than return to his parent club.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Ceballos has recently gone on record stating that he is 'very happy' in North London and that leaving Real Madrid was the right move for his career. According to the Daily Mail, the Spanish midfielder has held talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez expressing his intention to join the Gunners on a permanent basis. In the past, Ceballos was quoted saying that

"I'm at Arsenal right now and I feel very good, I knew I definitely wanted to leave (and) I was right to leave Madrid. Right now I'm where I want to be, and I am very happy. My idea was to leave, play and enjoy football. Over the past two years, I have not done that. I was right to go seeing as I'm in the Spain squad."

Ceballos has become an important player for Arsenal under Unai Emery. The Spaniard has made 11 appearances for the North London side, scoring one goal and assisting twice. He plays an important role in bringing creativity to the side and certainly looks to be a good fit for Arsenal. If Arsenal manage to convince him to join permanently, he would become a central figure in the side.
