Arsenal star duo will consider summer exit, if the club fail to secure Champions League football

29 October 2019 - 14:12

Arsenal duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are reportedly prepared to head through the exit door next summer, should the club fail to secure Champions League football.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • The Gunners failed to qualify for the elite competition through either the Premier League or Europa League last term and they have made a mixed start to the current campaign.

The north London giants are already four points adrift in the race for the top four this season and there are no assurances that they will go on to win the Europa League which guarantees a Champions League group stage spot.

According to The Telegraph, both Aubameyang and Lacazette are concerned over the top four credentials of the Capital outfit and they could force through their exits, should the club fail to qualify for Europe's elite competition.

Aubameyang's present deal with the Gunners expires at the end of the 2020/21 season and he has yet to show any intention of extending his stay with the Capital outfit.

Lacazette, meanwhile, has another extra year on his contract when compared to Aubameyang but the club's hierarchy would surely consider his sale, if he remains reluctant to pen a renewal.
