Tahith Chong has reportedly informed Manchester United that he is unlikely to extend his contract with the club beyond the end of the season.

  • Man Utd handed injury boost ahead of Burnley game

  • The Dutchman made his breakthrough with the Red Devils first-team last term but he has yet to establish himself with just eight appearances in all competitions.

According to Calciomercato, the Dutchman is far from pleased with his current situation with the Red Devils and he has made the decision to turn down a new contract with the club.

Chong's current deal is due to expire at the end of the campaign and in such a case, he would be free to discuss a pre-contract with an overseas club at the turn of the year.

Serie A giants Juventus and PSV Eindhoven are both said to hold an interest in his services but the former seem to hold the advantage after previously aiding the development of United teammate Paul Pogba.

Similarly to Chong, Angel Gomes has struggled to cement a regular spot under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this term and he is likewise expected to consider his future with his contract expiring next summer.
