Manchester United are reportedly desperate to part ways with Alexis Sanchez on a permanent basis to Inter Milan next year.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Burnley clash
  • Man Utd attacker suspended for Brentford game

  • The Chilean, who is currently sidelined with an ankle problem, joined the Serie A outfit on loan from United before the European summer transfer deadline.

He has since made a good impression for the Nerazzurri with one goal and one assist from four appearances but the club are yet to decide whether to approach the Red Devils over a permanent deal.

According to The Athletic, the Red Devils will welcome the prospect of offloading Sanchez by the end of the season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on adding Erling Haaland to the club's ranks.

The teenager has caught the eye of Europe's elite after bagging 26 goals from just 18 games for Salzburg this term and there are reports stating that club may approach for the marksman as early as January.

Still, Salzburg are unlikely to end their association with the youngster at the turn of the year and United may need to loan him back for the remainder of the campaign.
