Caglar Soyuncus agent provides update amid Arsenal link

Coyuncu won't consider mid-season exit - Mustafa Dogru

Caglar Soyuncu's agent provides update amid Arsenal link

27 November 2019 - 20:06

The representative of Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu has said that the centre-back will remain with the Foxes for the rest of the season before assessing his future.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The Turkey international was heavily linked with the Gunners during the summer of 2018 but he eventually made the move to the King Power Stadium prior to the deadline.

Soyuncu was largely a back-up option for the Foxes last term but he has been a crucial performer this season following the summer departure of Harry Maguire to Manchester United.

In the first 13 league games, the Foxes have conceded just eight goals with Soyuncu and Jonny Evans at the heart of the backline and that constitutes the best defensive record in the division.

Speaking to Radyospor, agent Mustafi Dogru has revealed that his client is satisfied with the proceedings at the Foxes and there is no consideration for any transfer move before the end of the campaign.

"Of course it's perfectly normal for him to be involved in transfer speculation after his performances with Leicester City this season," he told the Turkish outlet.

"However, we have no interest in this discussion. Both club and Caglar are looking to continue with each other. He is only focusing on the remaining of the season."

Leicester have a rather friendly schedule during the forthcoming weeks and they have the opportunity to enhance their top four prospects. They are already 10 points ahead of fifth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.
