Arsenal will reportedly refuse to sanction the sale of midfielder Lucas Torreira when the transfer window reopens at the end of the month.
Torreira has been a regular for the Gunners over the past few weeks and overall, he has made 21 appearances in all competitions this term.
Still, there has been the speculation that Torreira is unsettled in the English capital and of late, there has been the talk that he could be heading to Napoli next month.
However, according to The Star, that does not appear the case and the Gunners board have clearly stated that the Uruguayan won't be available for sale in January.
The report adds that the 23-year-old is not agitating for a mid-season move while the north London giants are under no pressure to sell with more than three years remaining on his contract.
Torreira has started every league game under the guidance of caretaker boss Freddie Ljungberg. He is likely to feature against Everton on the road this weekend.
