According to Daily Mail, Real Madrid have agreed a deal worth £47m for Ajax star Donny van de Beek.
The Dutch midfielder was on Madrid’s wishlist for quite some time, whilst also being linked with Man Utd.
Van de Beek was one of the standout youngsters for Ajax last season, helping them win the domestic treble; influential behind their fairy tale run in Champions League. In the process, he racked up 17 goals and 10 assists.
Earlier the Dutch prodigy was highly speculated to join the Bernabeu outfit midway through the season, but he eventually denied the move, intending to stay with Ajax for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old is touted as the successor to Luka Modric, who is in the twilight of his career. The Croatian skipper has never enjoyed a considerable playing time since winning the ballon d'Or in 2018.
Madrid have been also linked with Manchester United starlet Paul Pogba as Zinedine Zidane is eyeing for a partnership with his compatriot.
