Arsenal reportedly expect Barcelona to make a transfer approach for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before the end of the current month.
Aubameyang has less than 18 months left on his Gunners deal but he has recently assured that he is committed to the north London side.
Despite this, there are suggestions that he could leave the club due to the ongoing contract standoff and The Telegraph reports that Barcelona are one of the player's admirers.
The Blaugrana are currently without Luis Suarez for the next three months due to a knee surgery and they are apparently desperate to get their hands on an experienced marksman.
It is added that Aubameyang is their prime target before the transfer deadline next week but the Gunners are unlikely to sanction his sale irrespective of the package on the table.
Aubameyang has netted nearly 60 goals for the Gunners since arriving from Borussia Dortmund two years ago. He is expected to feature against Burnley on the road this weekend after serving a three-match suspension.
