Fergie expects a tough finish

Fergie expects a tough finish

05 April 2008 - 11:26

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson expects a tough finish in the race to the Premiership title. Man Utd still have to face Chelsea in the Premiership, while Arsenal have to visit Old Trafford after their gruelling three consecutive matches against Liverpool.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • “The most important thing now is that we do our own job because we have come to the stage of the season where every game is as good as a league decider,” said the Scot.

"We only have two home games left to play, with away games at Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea and Wigan Athletic, so we know we have to make sure our away form stays strong.

"We are approaching the finishing line, so there is not a long time to go. But sometimes in title races, the end can seem like a lifetime away. Nerves are going to play a part and there will be shocks.”
