Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Paul Pogba has yet to return to regular training but he could be in contention for first-team action next week.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Frenchman has been out of action for more than 10 weeks following an ankle surgery but he seems on course to make a comeback for the Red Devils before the international break.

Speaking in a press conference, Solskjaer acknowledged that Pogba is nearing a comeback but he won't feature in the upcoming Europa League clash against LASK on the road.

"Paul is getting closer, but not ready yet he hasn’t trained with the team yet; next week he will be ready," he was quoted as saying by Football.London on Wednesday.

United are on a 10-match winning run across all competitions and they recently got the better of Manchester City with a 2-0 Premier League win at Old Trafford.

The club are scheduled to face Linzer ASK in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday night. Anthony Martial is expected to miss the tie due to cuts to his shins after colliding with a goalpost.
