Tottenham Hotspur receive double injury boost ahead of Man United clash

Tottenham Hotspur have received a double injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The north London side have been in a poor run of form over the past few weeks and they are currently winless in six matches in all competitions.

As such, they face a tough challenge on their hands against United this weekend but they have received a boost with Moussa Sissoko and Ben Davies returning to full training after their respective injuries.

"Moussa Sissoko and Ben Davies have commenced integration into first team training," a statement read on the club's official website on Thursday.

Sissoko has been out of action since the Premier League clash against Southampton on New Year's Day, where he picked up a knee injury.

On the other hand, Davies previously featured in the club's 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa last month before sustaining a hamstring problem.

It is unclear whether the players will be involved against United but given Spurs' lack of quality on the bench, the pair could make matchday squad.

Harry Kane, Steven Bergwijn, Heung-min Son are the other high-profile players on the sidelines but the former is expected to return by the end of April after the rehabilitation for a hamstring injury.
