Manchester United could reportedly make the move to sign Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina this summer, suppose they are unable to strike a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.
Sancho has been on United's radar for more than 12 months and the club had failed with an approach for his services during the 2019 summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have been tipped to make a fresh move for the England international this summer but they still face a tough task of luring the attacker, who is valued at more than £120m.
According to Le10Sport, the Red Devils have earmarked Chiesa as a possible alternative to the Dortmund ace and they have been keeping a close watch on his progress in recent years.
The same outlet claims that the winger could be available for a cheaper price in the summer, considering he has just over two years left on his existing deal with the club.
Chiesa has bagged seven goals and five assists in all competitions for La Viola this term. Though he is primarily a winger by trade, he has operated as the main striker for the Serie A side in the current campaign.
