Arsenal attacker in talks over permanent exit this summer

Arsenal attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan is reportedly keen on sealing a permanent move to AS Roma when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Armenian joined the Giallorossi from the Gunners on a season-long loan last summer and he has since endured an injury-plagued campaign.

Still, he has managed to contribute six goals and three assists from just 13 league appearances and the club are said to be open to the prospect of landing him on a long-term contract.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mkhitaryan has urged his representative to initiate talks over a permanent deal with the Giallorossi when the transfer window reopens.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has previously hinted that the Armenian could have a future with the Gunners but the experienced attacker seems keen on extending his stay in the Serie A.

Mkhitaryan is likely to demand a three-year contract from the Giallorossi. The Rome-based club are said to prefer a two-year deal for the forward and that could yet prove a stumbling block.
