Manchester United are reportedly prepared to trigger the extension clause in Paul Pogba's contract in order to preserve his value ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Frenchman has missed most of the current season due to ankle injuries and has been limited to just seven appearances in the Premier League.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils have decided to part ways with the 27-year-old in the summer and they have reduced the player's price tag from £180m to just £100m.
Pogba's current deal with the club expires at the end of next season and United are keen on exercising the 12-month extension clause such that they can preserve his value.
Pogba has been linked with both Juventus and Real Madrid in recent weeks and the former are regarded as the favourites to sign him, having been in contact with his agent Mino Raiola.
Los Blancos are also monitoring his situation at the moment and reports have recently claimed that the midfielder could act as a replacement for Luka Modric at the Bernabeu.
