Arsenal reject two bids from Serie A giants for attacker

Arsenal have reportedly snubbed a couple of bids from AS Roma to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a permanent deal during the summer.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Mkhitaryan is presently on a season-long loan with the Giallorossi where he has been restricted to just 13 league appearances due to regular injury setbacks.

Despite this, he has made a good contribution with six goals and four assists and he was in a purple patch before the league was suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to The Express, Roma have already made two bids to sign Mkhitaryan on a permanent basis but their latest £10m offer is far off from the Gunners' £18m asking price.

The negotiations are set to continue over the next few months and the Giallorossi will be hoping that the Gunners will lower the price tag, particularly with the player's contract due to expire next summer.

Meanwhile, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has recently suggested that he is a huge admirer of Mkhitaryan's talents and there is the chance of the Spaniard working with the forward next term.
