Manchester United have yet to decide on a permanent deal for Odion Ighalo and they are currently assessing the other options to reinforce the centre-forward department.
The Nigerian made the loan switch from Shanghai Shenhua in January and he has since impressed for the Red Devils with four goals and one assist from eight outings.
United will have the option of signing Ighalo permanently for around £15m but Standard Sport claims that they are presently looking at other high-profile targets.
Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland, Lyon's Moussa Dembele, RB Leipzig's Timo Werner are some of the names mentioned and United could prioritise signing one of them before sorting out Ighalo's future.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously hinted that Ighalo may remain with the club next season but he still appears keen on a marquee signing, who can get the club challenging for the league title once again.
Solskjaer is aiming to pursue around three players during the summer. Apart from a striker, the Norwegian is said to be eyeing a right winger and a versatile midfielder.
