Chelsea back in for Ben Chilwell?

Chelsea turn attention to signing Premier League defender

22 April 2020 - 16:23

Chelsea will reportedly step up their interest in signing Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell after missing out on Porto's Alex Telles.

  • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
  • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move

  • The Blues are planning to sign a new left-back with the futures of Marcos Alonso and Emerson uncertain beyond the current campaign.

Chilwell and Telles have been associated with a move to the Blues in recent months but Brazilian outlet Gauchazh has claimed that the latter is on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.

Les Parisiens are deemed to have already finalised a deal with Porto for the Brazil international and a £20m transfer could be announced when the season recommences after the coronavirus shutdown.

Amidst this, The Sun claims that the Blues will now look to land the signature of Chilwell from the Foxes but he won't come on the cheap with his contract at the King Power Stadium only expiring in June 2024.

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has reduced the transfer valuation of almost every player around the world but the Foxes are still expected to demand at least £60m to part ways with the left-back.
