West Ham United have joined the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, a report from Le 10 Sport claims.
The Frenchman joined the Blues from AS Monaco in 2017 and he had a difficult debut season as he failed to cope with the demands of the Premier League.
He has since spent time on loan with AC Milan and ex-club Monaco. The latter have the option to sign him permanently for £35m this summer but they are unlikely to do so as they are in a financial crisis.
Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a possible move for his services in recent weeks but Le 10 Sport claims that the Hammers are also looking into a move for the midfielder.
The east London outfit currently have a solid midfield pairing of Mark Noble and Declan Rice but the former has entered the final phase of his career.
As such, the club are looking into a younger replacement and Bakayoko has emerged as a possible option to fulfil the role. The 25-year-old has just over two years remaining on his Blues contract.
He is currently valued at around £31m. Paris Saint-Germain are willing to offer around £26m for his signature and it remains to be seen whether the Hammers can outbid them.
