Roma star warns Man Utd

08 April 2008 - 17:50

Roma striker Mirko Vucinic is angry that Sir Alex Ferguson has already hinted he is looking ahead to the Champions League semi-finals, and warned United that Roma will be no pushover in the second leg at Old Trafford.

  • "It is our best chance in a while to get to a semi-final. The clock is against Roma. They have to do something, which may suit us because I think on the counter attack we are very good.

“If we get by this one, the difficult one of course will be Barcelona - a marvellous football club and a good football team.

“We can certainly overturn this result,” assured the hitman. “We are going to Manchester with the right anger and spirit.

“If we don’t believe in this, then there is no point flying out there. In my view we have a 50 per cent chance of qualifying. The important thing is to keep a cool head.”
