Chelsea have reportedly ended their pursuit of Jadon Sancho after learning the asking price set by Borussia Dortmund.
The England international was regularly linked with the Blues earlier this year and it was suggested that he could be their prime target for the summer.
However, the west London side have gone through a different route with the purchase of Ajax's Hakim Ziyech for £33m and they are currently on the cusp of signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig in a deal worth £50m.
According to Football.London, the Blues are long-term admirers of Sancho, but they have decided against continuing their interest after getting to know of the £120m valuation set by Dortmund.
Sancho could still make the switch to the Premier League with Manchester United but it is unclear whether the club are willing to pay a British-record fee for the winger under the current financial climate.
The Red Devils have recently taken a loan of £140m from the credit facility at the Bank of America such that they can land their preferred targets in the next transfer window.
